Ski and Toboggan

The goals of this workshop are to improve the toboggan-handling skills of Diamond Peaks Ski Patrol members through education and practice with backcountry ski equipment to a point where patrollers can be called upon to safely and efficiently transport injured back country recreationists. Advanced skiing techniques will be adapted for effective use with a backcountry toboggan. Some rope work will be covered as well as techniques for construction of improvised extrication/rescue sleds.

2010-2011 season S & T workshop:

The dates are April 9th and 10th, 2011.  Participation in both full days is required. Please notify Bob Mooney between 3/31 and 4/2 if you want to do S&T this year.  He will be incommunicado before then.  If there aren't enough participants it will be cancelled.
